All have been highly acclaimed and Janet has been short-listed on two occasions for the RNA Major Award - first for THE BLACK MOUNTAINS and later for DAUGHTER OF RICHES. More recently she has been writing historicals and well-received Gothic novels for Severn House - a reviewer for BOOKLIST, a trade publication in the United States, calls her 'a master of the Gothic genre'. Besides publication in Britain and the USA, Janet's books have also been translated into dozens of languages and published all over the world from Scandinavia and the Eastern European block to Israel, France and Italy. Before turning to novels, she was a prolific writer of short stories and serials, with hundreds of stories appearing in various IPC magazines and publications worldwide. |
